I have used ScoreWriter for many years. I purchased it because of the reasonable cost and have found it easy to use and completely acceptable for my needs. I have used it to write simple children's music for my students and for transcribing pieces for choir, solo voice and instrumental use.
I play the guitar and lead singing at the church. When I have children with BB instruments to play with me, Score Writer makes it possible to make the music playable for them too. I love that I am able to put the words for all the verses right under the music so that I don't have to look in two places at once (printed music and stanzas below as many hymnbooks arrange their music is a much less singable format).
